Project Background & Challenges
Boulder Creek Inn, a hotel nestled in the mountainous community of Donnelly, Idaho, faced severe roofing issues due to the region’s extreme winter weather conditions. The existing roof had significant leaks and damage from years of exposure to heavy snowfall, ice accumulation, high winds, and hailstorms. The hotel’s owners needed a durable, long-lasting roofing solution that could withstand the area’s harsh winters and hot summers. Additionally, budget constraints and minimal business disruption were key factors in planning this project.
Challenges Faced
Materials & Roofing System Installed

Installation Process & Execution
- Project Timeline: 7 working days
- Crew Size: 12 skilled roofers
- Safety Measures: Given the height of the building (2-3 stories), our team followed strict OSHA safety protocols, including harnesses and fall protection equipment.
Step-by-Step Execution:
Day 1-2: Manual tear-off of the existing roof, with debris carefully hauled away.
Day 3-7: Installation of new underlayment, ice and water shield, and Malarkey Vista shingles.
